Printing in the Library

Southern CT State University provides high speed, high volume, multifunction print services at a cost per page. Two printers with scanning capabilities are available on the first floor of the libary. The cost per page will be charged against your Hoot Loot balance.

Printing services are not available to visitors and alumni. Please ask a librarian at the Reference and Information desk for assistance.

Located on the first floor of the Buley Library, the IT Help Desk provides the support needed to help the SCSU community thrive in a rapidly evolving global society. Library Computer Labs

The Information Technology department manages several public and departmental computer labs.  The main public labs are located on the first floor of the Buley Library and the Adanti Student Center 202.  Computers are updated with the latest software including Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, web browsers such as Mozilla Firefox, and other productivity and technical software packages to assist students in coursework. In some areas, specialized hardware and software is available for department specific needs.

Laptop Connection Stations

Buley Library computer labs are now equipped with workstations to connect your laptop to a separate monitor in order to provide a larger screen to work on, while staying connected to your own device! Simply plug in, adjust your screen settings if needed, and begin to work.  Instructional guide: PDF

Academic Software Center

Southern Connecticut State University provides access to a software distribution website, which allows students, faculty and staff to purchase software at significant discounts off standard retail prices.

Eduroam Wireless Network

Eduroam is Southern's official secure wireless network for faculty, staff, and students to connect their laptops, phones, tablets, and other personal devices. The Eduroam netowrk will provide you wireless access at thousands of participating locations around the world.

The Guest Wireless Network is SCSU's official secure wireless network for visiting faculty, staff, and university guests. Guest wireless accounts can be created for visitors who would like to have access to the campus’ wireless network.
