Study Room Policy

GROUP STUDY ROOMS

Library Study Rooms are available on a first-come, first served basis and are available for the use of Southern students, faculty, and staff. Everyone is required to sign-up to reserve a study room. The sign-up sheets are available at the Circulation Desk, on the first floor of the library. Every Monday, the Circulation Desk will post the sign-up sheet for the week. Rooms can only be reserved for the specific week and no longer.

The library has 3 Study Rooms:

SECOND FLOOR:
ROOM 205 – Seats 4-6 people
ROOM 218 – Seats 10-12 people

THIRD FLOOR:
ROOM 302 – Seats 4-6 people

Group Study Rooms are in high demand, especially during the middle of the semester and during final exams. The Circulation Desk reserves the right to reassign the study room if there's a no-show after 15 minutes of the scheduled reservation.

The Circulation Desk does have supplies (highlighters, erasers) for the boards that can be checked out with your Hoot Loot ID.

All library rules shall be followed such as no food, drinks, and smoking. Please contact the Circulation Desk at 392-5756 for any additional information.
