Most children's fiction at Buley Library is shelved on the third floor and are marked Juvenile in the online library catalog. Children's non-fiction is shelved nearby (on the third floor) and are marked CURR LAB (Curriculum Lab) in the online library catalog. They are cataloged by the Dewey Decimal System, used in most public and school libraries in the United States.
Buley Library specifically collects award winning children's literature including the Caldecott Medal winners and honorees, Newbery Medal winners and honorees, the Connecticut Nutmeg Award winners, and more.
Public Libraries generally have good children's collections. Worldcat (SCSU login required) or RedLightGreen combined library catalogs allow you to find local libraries that have the books you are looking for.
Book reviews for children's books and articles discussing children's literature can be found in several databases. Generally, search for the title of the book. If you get too many results, try searching for the title as a phrase (usually by using quotation marks around the title).
Search for articles not found in full text in these databases by searching the Journal Locator for the title of the journal, magazine, or newspaper that published the review.
